All About Testing for Covid-19

Covid 19 (Coronavirus) has been spread worldwide in very little time. It continues to spread in various countries. Covid 19 is transmitted from one person to another by touching surfaces, shaking hands, touching your faces such as eyes, nose, etc. In case you are infected from Covid-19, there are several symptoms you will identify that you have covid-19. The symptoms are high fever, pain in the chest, dry cough, loss of taste and smell, etc. But if you have these symptoms, you need to make testing for COVID-19 so that you can take treatment to recover and prevent other people from getting infected from you. You can select a nearby hospital or clinic to test yourself.

Tests of covid-19

There is various type of test of Covid 19 you can select which type of test you want.

  • Rapid Test: – The Rapid test is happening in Hospitals, clinics, etc. In the rapid Test, the sample is collected from the nose and throat. The rapid Test gives you are a quick result after a check-up in less than 24 hours or within 15 minutes. It will detect the current infection present in your body.
  • Antibody Test: – The Antibody test is happening in Hospitals, clinics, etc. This Test detects the past infection you have in your body. The Antibody test will not show the current infection you have. The Antibody Test is a blood test whose work detects the immune protein, which is called Antibodies. If you have believed that you have symptoms of covid-19 in the past, then you should recommend this Antibody test. 

What is the Result means?

When you have done your Test, you will get two types of results a positive result or A Negative result. Let’s understand what the meaning of these results is:-

If You Test Positive

If you test positive, then you are infected with the coronavirus. After receiving the report or result, you need to start your treatment either from hospitals or at home. Firstly you need to quarantine if you are taking treatment from home and if you want to start your treatment at hospitals, you need to admit to the hospital for some time. It would be best to start your treatment immediately, not to contact other people to prevent them from this infection.

If You Test Negative

If you are tested negative, you are not infected with covid 19, but that does not mean you will not infect its future. We will get infected if you will not follow the necessary precautions. So be safe and secure.

You can use several precautions to be safe from covid 19, such as wearing a mask whenever you are going out, avoiding meeting with other people, Sanitise, or washing your hand properly.
